This pair of East German armchairs have gone through a complete transformation. The arms were carefully removed, old internals ripped down, and the chairs rebuilt from the frame. The wood was sanded back and oiled by @wrenpin, then covered in @butefa

Rebuilt from the frame up, this little cocktail chair and it’s golden glow are headed home to Walthamstow. Covered in Varese cotton velvet in Amber by @designersguild. If you’re after a velvet with low shine, cotton based is always best.?
Really enjoyed working on this tiny heirloom - it was made for our client when she was a child by her Grandfather. The chair was fully reupholstered and covered in fabric from @melintregwynt, a family run woollen mill in Wales.🐰
